Carliss Robinson, CBC Men's Head Basketball Coach stated "Paris is a very good team and very well coached. I thought their guards hurt us with their penetration the first half and we gave up some transition baskets. I thought we did a better job the in transition defense during the second half of the game. We were able to get a better flow offensively in the second half as well. The team ball movement was a lot better."

Coach Robinson continued with "I think we executed our sets down the stretch and hit some big shots. We had the momentum going into overtime which really helped us. Paris is a tough team. They're probably playing the best in this region. I'm glad we were able pull out the win. This will definitely give us momentum headed into Monday's game, against Bossier Parish. I'm very proud of my guys, they fought hard throughout the game and showed a lot grit. We got down, stuck together and executed the game plan as a unit. This is a big team win, for us."

Coastal Bend moves up to seven wins with four losses on the season and a current record of two wins and two losses in Region XIV Conference play. CBC's next home basketball game will be against Kilgore College on Wednesday, January 10th for a conference game. Tip-off is set for 7:30 PM.
