From the Dugout - Entry Two

We are now ending week four and moving into week five. Players have been cut and the team is slowly getting smaller.

Two weeks ago, I was scheduled to pitch and was unfortunately unable to due to weather. I was excited for this upcoming weekend as I was scheduled to play in the game here in Beeville. Unluckily I threw out my back during workout Thursday morning and was unable to play this weekend. The only option left was to go home and rest up.

Being injured is not a fun thing, but something everyone has to eventually deal with. It does suck not being able to play and especially when the coaches still need to see you pitch live. It also doesn't help that everyone else on the team got three more days of work in than I did, but all of this just means I have to work harder than I do now and that's okay.

Cuts are being made soon and not playing a game yet puts me potentially on the chopping block. I've worked hard to be here and have continued to work hard while I've been here. I'm healed now and am looking forward to playing again and can't wait to get my next chance to be on the field. I can't wait to get to work again and lace up. You don't know how much you miss the field until you can't be on it.
