Baytown, TX-  The Coastal Bend College men's basketball team played at Lee College on Wednesday, February 23rd for a conference matchup. The Cougars are looking to climb the regional tournament standings with a win.

To start the first half, the Cougars jumped out to an early lead, 17-12 with six minutes into the game. Throughout the remaining of the half both teams were battling back and forth. Lee College would go into halftime with a four-point lead over Coastal Bend College, 51-47.

Following halftime, Lee College would get off to a hot offensive start with a 13-4 run with five minutes into the second half. The Cougars will have to fight their way back if they want to have a chance at winning the game. However, the Rebels held onto the momentum the entire second have and took command of the game. Ultimately beating Coastal Bend by a final score of 100-71.

Up next for Coastal Bend will be at home against Jacksonville College where the Cougars are looking to end their conference season off with a win. This will be the last conference season game before the Cougars head to Jacksonville for the regional tournament. Tip-off is scheduled for 4:00 PM.
