Charlotte, NC- Yahel Paramo has earned NJCAA All-American honors after a standout 2024 season, capping off an extraordinary year that helped lead Coastal Bend College to its historic run to the national tournament. The All-American selection reflects his tremendous growth and consistent excellence on the field, as well as his integral role in the Cougars' record-breaking season. 

Originally from León, Mexico, Yahel has been a vital player for the Cougars over the past two seasons. In 2023, he played 17 games, scoring 2 goals and providing 2 assists. Notably, he helped secure a significant 1-0 victory over Tyler, the National runners-up, and contributed to the Cougars' impressive 10-1-1 regular-season record in 2023. 

However, it was in the 2024 season that Yahel truly cemented his place among the nation's top players. Playing in 19 games, he scored 7 goals and provided 9 assists. His standout performances included goals both home and away against Blinn College and a game-winning goal away to Angelina College. Yahel's ability to make an impact in crucial moments helped propel the Cougars to a record-breaking season and a spot in the national tournament. 

Yahel's 23 total points—7 goals and 9 assists—were pivotal in Coastal Bend's success, and his All-American recognition is a testament to his exceptional skill, leadership, and consistency. His vision, passing accuracy, and knack for scoring in high-pressure situations were integral in the team's rise to national prominence.
