Justin Rodriguez was named Head Coach of the Coastal Bend College Men’s Soccer program, bringing a strong background in player development, leadership, and collegiate coaching experience to the Cougar program.

Rodriguez joined Coastal Bend College after serving on the coaching staff during the 2024 season at Missouri Southern State University, where he worked with the women’s soccer program and assisted with player development, training sessions, and overall team operations.

Prior to his time at Missouri Southern, Rodriguez served as an assistant coach at University of the Ozarks in 2021. He also gained valuable coaching experience at Alice High School from 2018–2019, while providing private training for youth players, teams, and goalkeepers throughout the South Texas region.

A native of Alice, Rodriguez was a standout collegiate student-athlete at Schreiner University from 2017–2021. During his career with the Mountaineers, he was a four-year starter and team captain, demonstrating leadership both on and off the field. Rodriguez earned recognition on the Southern Collegiate Athletic Conference Academic Honor Roll and served in leadership roles with the university’s Student-Athlete Advisory Committee and the Mountaineer Leadership Academy.

Rodriguez earned his Bachelor’s degree in Sport Management from Schreiner University in 2021.

As head coach at Coastal Bend College, Rodriguez oversees all aspects of the Cougar Men’s Soccer program, including recruiting, player development, academic support, and program operations as the Cougars compete in the highly competitive Region 14.

Known for his energy, leadership, and passion for the game, Rodriguez is committed to developing student-athletes both on the field and in the classroom while continuing to build a competitive and respected program for Coastal Bend College.
