Beeville, TX-  Coastal Bend College Sophomore, Briannah Mejias has committed to Texas A&M University - Kingsville. Meijas arrived to Coastal Bend College as a transfer pitcher this past year for the softball program. The Portland, Texas native transferred in from Sul Ross University following her freshman campaign. Meijas has a willingness and strives to learn as much about the game as she can.

This past spring, Meijas graduated from CBC with her Associates of Arts Degree. Meijas saw plenty of time on the fielld as she pitched 50 innings and split time at 1st base for the Cougars during her sophomore season. She was always there for her teammates and grew to be a leader for this young team. 

Here is what CBC Head Softball Coach, Roland Salazar had to say about Meijas; " Briannah, Bri, Mejias has been a great addition to this team. She excelled in the classroom with a 4.0 GPA and showed that work ethic on the field as well. She showed strong leadership skills and a willingness to be coached. Bri will be missed, but we are excited about her next steps!"

Meijas plans on focusing her academics in Kinesiology while enrolled at TAMUK.
